How to Cook a Wild Turkey

If you ever manage to catch a wild turkey, this recipe will help you. It is a very simple recipe for cooking wild turkey.

Ingredients:

  • One wild turkey
  • Two cups of chopped celery
  • Six medium onions, chopped
  • Two cloves of garlic
  • Two cans of diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup chili powder
  • Four cups tomato juice
  • Two cans pinto beans, undrained
  • Three teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • One teaspoon cumin
  • One tablespoon paprika

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey till it turns golden brown in color.
  2. Add chopped celery, garlic, diced tomatoes, chili powder, tomato juice, salt, cayenne pepper, marjoram, cumin, and paprika to the turkey.
  3. Let the turkey simmer for about an hour. Now, add pinto beans to the pot. Allow the turkey to cook for another hour.
