How to Cook Turkey Wings

Turkey wings are extremely delicious to eat and very healthy with lots of protein. They can be cooked using a simple recipe. You can prepare this dish any time for your kids and they will sure to love you for it.


  • Three large turkey wings
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon lemon pepper
  • Two tablespoon extra virgin olive oil


  1. Apply extra virgin olive oil on all the turkey wings. On a baking pan, make these wings stand upright, with one supporting the other. This technique allows the turkey wings to baste evenly themselves.
  2. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the wings, along with the lemon pepper and basil.
  3. Set the oven at a temperature of about 350 degrees F, and bake the wings for about 45 minutes. By this time, they should turn golden brown in color.
  4. Now, remove the turkey wings from the oven. They are now ready to be served. You may apply the pan drippings over the wings before you serve them.

    I’ve never seen a recipe that calls for rubbing olive oil on the turkey wings before seasoning. Is this to keep the seasoning in tact? I’d like to know before I try it. Thanks!

    My way of cooking them is as follows, I first inject them with Cajun Creloe Butter Injection then I rub them down with some Kickin Chicken seasoning. Cover and put in fridge till ready to cook. I also use the Char Broil Big Easy cooker. This cooker is AWESOME!! It uses indirect heat.

  3. I need help on how to bake the perfect and juicy tasting turkey wings/and whole turkey. Some have stated to bake in bag but my skin never be golden brown like pictures or my wings and there times it may brown on top and the bottom isnt tanned at all but most of all driness and taste of flavor is my inquiry any tips will help. I love turkey and would like to bake some good turkey wings.Also it baked in oven do you cover or uncover.
