A delicious fish, salmon becomes even tastier when grilled. Sprinkle your favorite seasonings on top to make it irresistible. Grilling salmon is not a daunting task, just follow the steps mentioned below, and you will be able to enjoyed home-grilled salmon.
Ingredients:
- Salmon fillets
- Spices (as per your liking)
- Mayonnaise
Equipment(s) required:
- Gas or charcoal grill
- Strainer
- Brush
Instructions:
- First, wash the salmon fillets thoroughly and carefully under running cold water. Then put them on the strainer to remove all the moisture. Once the fillets are dry, season them with the spices of your preference. Now set the salmon fillet aside for some time to let it marinate.
- While the salmon fillets get marinated, you can start preparing the grill. If you are using a gas grill, set its temperature around 300-325 degrees Fahrenheit. In case you are using a charcoal grill, light it and wait till the flames have subsided and the coal inside has turned bright red in color.
- Before you place the fillets on the grill rack, apply mayonnaise with the help of a brush on both its sides. The mayonnaise will prevent the salmon fillet from sticking to the grill rack.
- Keep turning the fillets from one side to the other. How often you turn them will also depend upon their thickness. After the fillets are cooked, place each of the fillets on both their sides inside the hottest part of the grill for about one minute. This is done so that the grill marks get etched on the salmon fillets, and gives them a professional look.
- You can now serve your grilled salmon fillets.

I usually make a Tuscan Salmon with artichoke hearts, fennel and sun-dried tomatoes. I am going to have to try grilling it first next time.
