How to Make a Homemade Amaretto

As its name suggests, Amaretto is an Italian liqueur that goes well with all kinds of meals. It is also a great drink on its own. It is a sweet drink with a unique almond flavor. ed so. ‘Amaretto’ means ‘little bitter’ in Italian.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • 6 cups vodka
  • 6 tablespoons almond extract
  • 6 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions:

  1. Place a saucepan over medium heat. Pour water, sugar, and brown sugar in it. Bring the contents to a boil. Keep stirring in between to make sure that the sugar dissolves completely in the water. Once this is done, remove the saucepan from the heat and set it aside to cool.
  2. After about 10 minutes when the liquid has cooled down, add vodka, almond extract, and vanilla to it. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
  3. The amaretto is ready. You can either serve it immediately or store it for future use.
