How to Make a Hot Crab Dip

One of the greatest appetizers especially when one would like to have a great seafood experience is the hot crab dip. It is fairly easy to make and the ingredients can be found in grocery stores wherever you may be located.

Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces or 2 cans of crab meat
  • 8 ounces or 2 packages of cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • A tablespoon and a half of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of hot sauce (you may use Tabasco for an extra kick)
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat you oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Mix together the crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice in a medium sized bowl until well incorporated.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 shallow baking dish and garnish with paprika.
  4. Bake for approximately 30 minutes in the oven or until golden brown and apparently bubbly.
  5. Serve with a side of crackers or toasted bread.

For an extra kick, you may also use a dash of cayenne pepper with the paprika.
