There are simply some days when you feel like going Mexican. There are a number of Tex-Mex dishes you can serve your family and friends without having to spend much. The most common of which are dips such as the Mexican layered dip. It is simple, fun and colorful to make; perfectly delectable to the eyes and palate.
Ingredients:
- A can of refried beans (about 16 ounces)
- A package of taco seasoning mix (about 1.25 ounces)
- A large tomato, seeded and chopped
- A cup of guacamole
- A cup of sour cream left at room temperature
- A cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Half a cup of chopped green onions
- A quarter cup of chopped or sliced black olives
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish or a flat transparent container, spread the refried beans on the bottom, covering all the surface and making it as even as possible.
- Sprinkle the taco mix on top of the beans.
- Layer the ingredients like a lasagna in the following order:
- Tomatoes
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Sprinkle and cover the entire layered dip with cheese
- Green onions
- Olives
- Cover the layered dip and chill until ready to serve.
