How to Make a Nacho Dip

What better way to enjoy an evening or movie time with friends and family than with the all time favorite dip snack, the nacho dip! Although you can find hundreds of readily made products of this kind in your local grocery store, you can make a project out of it with the kids. Who knows how those on the grocery shelves were prepared, all the preservatives and such. The best is the homemade variety, might as well do it on your own and reap the rewards altogether.

Ingredients:

  • An 8 ounce bag of shredded cheese or 4 cups of nacho cheese
  • 16 ounces or 2 packages of cream cheese
  • 30 ounces or 2 cans of chili, with or without beans (totally up to you)

Instructions:

  1. Using a transparent 8 x 8 dish, evenly spread the cream cheese on the bottom of the pan.
  2. Cover the cream cheese with your choice of chili as evenly as possible.
  3. Generously sprinkle cheese on top of the chili and cream cheese layer.
  4. Pop the dish in to the microwave or oven and heat it until the cheese becomes bubbly.

You can serve the nachos with potato or tortilla chips or perhaps, even freshly cut vegetables.
