Ingredients:
1 cup wheat bran
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup canola oil
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup egg substitute
3/4 cup all-purpose white flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions:
In a large bowl, pour the buttermilk into the bran to soak and soften it. Set it aside.
Cream together oil and sugar in another bowl, a large one this time. Beat in the egg carefully.
