How to Make Chocolate Muffins

Here’s a recipe for all chocolate lovers out there. You can even choose just how sweet you want your chocolate muffins to be by using semi sweet or rich bitter varieties. Add nuts for extra chewy texture if preferred.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup light-brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter — melted and cooled
  • 2 eggs – beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package (12 oz) melted chocolate bar (choose between dark, milk chocolate, semi-sweet varieties)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans — chopped

Instructions:

  1. Brush twelve muffin cups with some melted butter or line with muffin cup liners if you prefer
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F
  3. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl while in a separate bowl, mix the milk, vanilla, eggs and butter until you end up with a well blended mixture
  4. In the dry ingredients bowl, make a well in the center and add the milk mixture.
  5. Combine all ingredients well before you add the melted chocolate and pecans into the batter
  6. Fill 2/3 of muffin cups with the batter mixture and bake in the over for around 20 minutes.
  7. To know if muffins are ready, slowly prick the top with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean then the muffins are ready
  • Cool for 5 minutes before you serve

Makes 12 muffins
