How to Make French Toast Sticks

French toast sticks are a staple in every breakfast table. French toast sticks are delicious, and yet very easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8 slices of white bread
  • 3 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup corn flakes cereal (crushed)

Instructions:

  1. In a plate, combine the eggs, maple syrup, and cinnamon, milk and sugar with a fork.
  2. Add the corn flakes cereal into the mixture.
  3. Cut 8 slices of white bread into four pieces each to make bread strips. Coat the bread strip with egg mixture completely.
  4. Melt the butter over medium heat in a skillet. Cook the bread strips for 2 to 3 minutes for every side or until they have turned golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle sugar on top minimally, or you can add a dish of warm maple syrup as a dip.
  6. You can experiment with the recipe. If you are more on the daring side, you can replace the corn flakes cereal into other kinds of cereal. Why not try Fruit Loops, Honey Nut Cheerios or Captain Crunch?
  7. Your French toast sticks are now ready to serve.
