Here’s a ham pasta recipe for your whole family’s delight.
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of any pasta of choice will do
- 4 shallots, peeled and minced
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ¼ pound cooked lean ham, cut into fine strips
- 1 egg yolk or ½ cup fat-free egg substitute
- 1 cup of cream
Instructions:
- Cook pasta into boiling and slightly salted water. Always keep an eye on the pasta to avoid overdoing it.
- In a large skillet, sauté peeled shallots and minced garlic for few minutes until lucid. Next, add the cooked lean ham and the cup of cream. Take note to stir the cream on a constant basis to avoid flaky appearance.
- Once the cream sauce is thickened and fined, you can add the egg yolk or a ½ cup of egg substitute into the skillet where the cream sauce mixture is. Let it simmer over low heat.
- Finally, blend cream sauce together with cooked striped hams and other ingredients over the pasta. Serve and enjoy.
