How to Make Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are yet another delicious potato side dish. It is extremely easy to prepare too.

Ingredients:

  • One kilogram potatoes
  • Six tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup cream
  • One teaspoon salt
  • Pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

First, peel the potatoes and quarter them. Now put them inside a pot and cover them with water. The water level should be just about an inch above the potatoes. Now add salt to the pot and bring the water to a boil. Cook the potatoes till they become tender.

Drain all the water, and cook the potatoes again on low heat to dry up the remaining water. Once that is done, take a potato masher and mash the cooked potatoes. Set it aside.

Blend in the cream with the milk. Add butter to it, as well as the mashed potatoes. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Your mashed potatoes are ready to be served.
