How to Make Moist Chocolate Cake

The delicious and very chocolatey moist chocolate cake recipe is easy to make. If you are ever tired of purchasing quick mix and ready to mix cake recipes, this one is for you.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cup flour
  • 3/4 Cup of cocoa mix powder
  • 1 Ā½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 Cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup of oil
  • 1 Cup of coffee
  • 2 medium sized eggs
  • A pinch salt

For the frosting

  • 8 tbsp. butter
  • 2/3 Cup cocoa powder
  • 3 cups confectionary sugar
  • 1/3 Cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Beat all of the ingredients together in a medium sized glass bowl. Make sure that the mixture becomes very thin.
  2. Pour the mixture in a greased baking pan. You can opt to use 9 by 13 inches of cake pans and you can also use round pans as well.
  3. For 30 minutes, bake it at a pan which has been preheated in the middle of the oven at a temperature of 350 Fahrenheit. Make sure not to over bake your cake. You can determine if the cake is ready by using a toothpick to test the cake.
  4. ForĀ frosting, you have to melt the butter on a low heat. Put the melted butter in a bowl with the cocoa powder and whisk it until it becomes smooth.
  5. Then, put the confectionary sugar and alternate it with your sour cream while using a mixer for 1-2 mins. Add the vanilla.
  6. Frost the cake.
