Every mother has this fear of feeding their children with foods that will not benefit their bodies. It has come to everyone’s knowledge that children are hard to feed with leafy greens. But mothers have the magic to fool their kids: by adding meat to a regular vegetable recipe. Pork and cabbage soup recipe is one of these recipes that moms have used as a tool to feed their children.
Ingredients:
- 4 cup shredded cabbage
- 2 and 2/3 cup water
- 1 and ½ cup cubed boneless pork
- 1 and ½ cup beef broth
- 1 and ½ cup tomato extract
- ½ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup pepper
- ¼ cup dried sherry
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 Bay leaf
- Sour cream
Directions:
- Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the minced pork under medium heat.
- Include the tomato extract, beef broth, water, cabbage, onion, paprika and bay leaf. Stir well.
- Cover and let it simmer for 40-45 minutes
- Add salt and pepper for desired taste. Stir to even out the flavor.
- Serve with garnished sour cream.
