How to Make Salmon Croquettes
Salmon croquettes have been an integral part of the cuisine of the southern United States. They are crispy to eat, but don’t worry, they are very easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 1½ ounces of pink salmon
- ¼ cup flour
- Two tablespoons of yellow corn meal
- ¼ cup onion, chopped
- Two eggs
- One bottle of cooking oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper, grounded
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except for the flour together and make sure to mix them well. Once all the ingredients have been mixed, start adding the flour a little at a time. Add enough to get just the right kind of consistency you require.
- Use your hands to form small patties out of this mixture. After all the mixture has been used up to make patties, heat some oil over medium heat in a frying pan.
- Now, place some patties into the frying pan. You can place a few together, but make sure to leave enough space so that you can flip them. Cook the patties evenly on both sides.
- Remove the fried patties from the frying pan. You can now serve your salmon croquettes.
