How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms

The mighty mushroom contains a lot of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that are good for the body. It contains proteins, vitamin B12, fats, carbohydrates, dietary fibers and ash. Mushrooms are also a good source of folic acid, which help in building the blood and fights diseases such as anemia. Mushrooms also contain agents that lower one’s cholesterol level. Here is a recipe for stuffed mushroom that will give you all the benefits of eating mushrooms and lets you savor a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 medium onion, minced
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • Mushroom stems
  • Mushroom caps, chopped (for stuffing)
  • Onion and garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • Bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, freshly chopped
  • Butter

Instructions:

  1. For this recipe, make sure that you have mushrooms with large caps so that you can put more stuffing into it.
  2. Clean the mushrooms well, brushing the caps.
  3. Separate the caps from the stems, setting the caps aside.
  4. In a sauce pan, melt butter in medium heat.
  5. Add in mushroom stems, shallots, and onions.
  6. Sauté the vegetables until the onions become transparent.
  7. Remove the pan from heat and add bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion, and parsley and mix thoroughly.
  8. Make the mixture’s consistency thick by adding more bread crumbs.
  9. Put the stuffing into the mushrooms caps, press the stuffing gently, or else the caps might break, and sprinkle paprika.
