The Tuna Pate Recipe is very convenient and easy to do. Any type of smoked fish aside from tuna can also be used in this simple recipe. You can even do it in less than 10 minutes! Tuna Pate is a great dip for parties and special events. This can be served as an appetizer, to be served up with chips or crackers.
Ingredients:
- 1 can tuna (drained)
- 1 small onion
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 3 hard-boiled eggs (remove the shells)
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 4 gherkins
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- fresh parsley
- Chips and crackers
Instructions:
- Place the tuna in a bowl and flake it with a fork.
- Combine tuna, onion, Worcestire sauce, Tabasco sauce, eggs, almonds, mayonnaise, gherkins, salt and pepper in a blender or food processor. Process for about 2 minutes or until the mixture resembles a firm paste.
- Transfer the mixture into a serving bowl.
- Chill for at least 6 hour or for as long as 2 days.
- Garnish with egg (sliced into thin slices) and parsley.
- Serve with chips and crackers. Dig in!
