How to Make Turtle Cake

This is a very easy to make recipe. Once you try it, you can now enjoy the delectable sweetness of the turtle cake.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. cake flour
  • 1 1/2 Cup hot water
  • 3/4 Cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 Cup of sugar
  • 6 tbsp. of butter
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla flavoring extract
  • medium sized eggs
  • 1 2/3 Cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

FROSTING:

  • 2 tbsp. of butter
  • ΒΌ cup of brown sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp. of milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 Cup powdered sugar
  • 2/3 Cup apple caramel dip
  • 1/4 Cup of toasted chopped pecans

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven in 350 F temperature.
  2. Coat bottoms of two 8-inch round pans with cooking spray and line bottoms with parchment paper afterwards.
  3. Put the cocoa in the hot water and whisk. Let it cool.
  4. Put the granulated sugar, 6 tbsp of butter, and vanilla flavoring together in a container. Use a mixer and in medium speed for about five minutes.
  5. Put the eggs one by one while beating the mixture.
  6. Mix together 1 2/3C of flour, baking powder and soda as well as the salt using the whisk. Combine it with the flour and cocoa mixture afterwards.
  7. Pour the batter into the baking pans.
  8. Bake for thirty minutes and cool it afterwards.
  9. For the frosting, have 2 tbsp. of butter melted and then, add sugar and 2 tbsp of milk. Mix the butter mix and 2 tbsp of vanilla while gradually adding sugar. Use mixer in medium speed. Add the milk.
  10. Frost the cake and add the caramel and pecans afterwards.
