This is a very easy to make recipe. Once you try it, you can now enjoy the delectable sweetness of the turtle cake.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. cake flour
- 1 1/2 Cup hot water
- 3/4 Cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 Cup of sugar
- 6 tbsp. of butter
- 1 tsp. of vanilla flavoring extract
- medium sized eggs
- 1 2/3 Cup all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
FROSTING:
- 2 tbsp. of butter
- ΒΌ cup of brown sugar
- 2-3 tbsp. of milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Cup powdered sugar
- 2/3 Cup apple caramel dip
- 1/4 Cup of toasted chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat oven in 350 F temperature.
- Coat bottoms of two 8-inch round pans with cooking spray and line bottoms with parchment paper afterwards.
- Put the cocoa in the hot water and whisk. Let it cool.
- Put the granulated sugar, 6 tbsp of butter, and vanilla flavoring together in a container. Use a mixer and in medium speed for about five minutes.
- Put the eggs one by one while beating the mixture.
- Mix together 1 2/3C of flour, baking powder and soda as well as the salt using the whisk. Combine it with the flour and cocoa mixture afterwards.
- Pour the batter into the baking pans.
- Bake for thirty minutes and cool it afterwards.
- For the frosting, have 2 tbsp. of butter melted and then, add sugar and 2 tbsp of milk. Mix the butter mix and 2 tbsp of vanilla while gradually adding sugar. Use mixer in medium speed. Add the milk.
- Frost the cake and add the caramel and pecans afterwards.
