- 1 lb small rigatoni pasta
- 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
- 2 small cans roasted garlic paste
- 2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella
- 1 lb block whole milk mozzarella cheese

- Let the mixture simmer in low heat for 45 minutes in a stove.
- Stir the mixture once in a while, but let it simmer long as the sauce’s texture gets better when it is simmered longer. Just make sure the heat is very low consistently.
- Meanwhile, cook the rigatoni according to instructions in the package. The oven should be pre-heated to 375°F. The cheese block should be sliced into generous slices.
- After the sauce is cooked, assemble the casserole by layering the sauce, cheese, and rigatoni alternately, with the rigatoni covering the bottom of the casserole dish (a 9×13 casserole dish is recommended).
- Be generous with the sauce layers as the pasta tends to absorb it fast and sauce that it spread too thinly will make the casserole dry.
- The last layer should slices of cheese covering the entire dish. Cover with foil and put toothpicks at each end to avoid the cheese from sticking to the foil.
- Bake casserole for 20 minutes in 375°F heat.
- After 20 minutes, remove the cover and bake for 25 minutes more.
